For the moment, if we look at the conditions of India and China, it can be said to be normal or not. There has been a long-standing border dispute between India and China. And now both armies are standing face to face.

In such a situation, India is constantly trying to strengthen its position. And the effect of these efforts is that in India we have decided to build a tunnel under the Brahmaputra River. This tunnel will be of four lanes. This tunnel will be used by both military and common people.

In fact, since the war of 1962, China has greatly strengthened its position in the areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. In view of this, the Modi government has decided to build this tunnel.

There is 5 bridge over Brahmaputra river

If the present state of the Brahmaputra river is seen, a total of 5 bridges are built on it. Which are useful for the army. As well as ordinary citizens also use these flowers. But the government feels that if there is a military attack on behalf of China, then these flowers can be targeted. In such a situation, the army will not be able to reach the remote areas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. In such a situation, India’s connectivity with a large part of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be cut.

To solve this problem, the Modi government has decided to build this tunnel. In this way India will be permanently linked with Assam and Arunachal.

According to a news published in the same times of India, the Modi government gave in-principle approval in March itself. BJP which is the ruling party in India. Its Assam unit has given a tweet informing that, in India, it has decided to build a tunnel 15 km long under the Brahmaputra River.

India has increased the budget of roads

After the coming of the Modi government, a network of roads is being laid on the army border of China. Speaking of the year 2016, the budget for roads was about $ 600 billion. Which has now increased to more than $ 1 billion. In such a situation, you can guess how important the border of India China has become these days. These are the figures for 2020.

The Brahmaputra River originates from Tibet in China. And it is included in the world’s largest five rivers. The Brahmaputra comes after the Amazon Nile and Yang TC Qiang. The Brahmaputra River is among the largest waterlogged areas in the world.

Millions of people are affected by floods every year

Every year millions of people are affected due to floods in the Brahmaputra River. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonwal while talking to ani said that more than 70 lakh people are affected in Assam every year due to floods. In such a situation, this tunnel is important to save these people. At the same time, hundreds of people die due to floods every year. This number is much higher than those affected by the corona virus. In such a situation, dealing with floods has emerged as a major challenge before the government.

The local media of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh have said that the local development promises that have been made here should be given to the North East. There is no need for this tunnel. But it is certain that due to the border between India and China, it is going to be an important tunnel.

At the same time some people say that the government should strengthen the banks of the Brahmaputra river before constructing the tunnel. So that people can avoid floods.
